PCB inverted F antenna dimensions

Hi,

I'd like to use DN0007 to implement IFA into my design.

Took the gerber files from the reference design (CC-Antenna-DK -  EtchLayer1Top and CC-Antenna-DK -  EtchLayer2).

Looking at the gereber files, it seems that the dimensions are a bit smaller than the ones given in DN0007.

For example L1 from the gerber is 24.66mm, where in DN0007 it is 25.58. The same also for the other dimensions.

Is there really such a difference, or maybe my gerber importer introduced some sort of scaling.

Which one of the sources is more accurate?

    Hi,

    Both lengths are correct. The resonance of the antenna is effected by the loading of the antenna. Loading occurs from the proximity to GND, GND plane size and surrounding components. This antenna has a good bandwidth, so I would recommend a nominal length of 25.0 mm for your design.
