Hi Guys,
Bit of a random question. Can someone please check the capacitors and see to what voltage they are rated at?
I had a 'freak accident' at work around 3 weeks ago involving an electric shock. It was hand to hand, holding the ev board in one hand and making contact with a metallic door handle. I still cant fully extend/grip my hands :\
My employer at the time argued that its my usb hub's fault, but scientifically 5V is impossible to shock you. (High skin resistance -> low amps, tested myself again and again, I can't feel 5V via my USB hub/ports or any Ti boards..)
An electrician came in the next day & commented something along the lines that the lighting switch on the metallic door frame wasn't properly isolated (makes sense). Employer argues that I should have been dead in this case or shown signs of heart fibrillation. (I wasn't there when the light switch was tested/repaired)
The third case I can think of is that there were high voltage caps not fully discharged yet. Which is highly unlikely.
Since I have resigned from there and can't find a BOM specifying the cap voltages, would someone please mind help me solving this mystery and check what they are rated at? :)
Also, sorry if I am tarnishing the Ti forums in this instance. I have full faith in Ti products & that it wasn't the EV board that shocked me. But I really would like some answers for peace of mind.
Thanks guys
