Hello Sunglin,

The example code can be downloaded from this link: http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sloc300

Please note that this code should only be used to flash the base EVM functionality and should not be used for any sort of product development as it is over 5 years old and had many unfixed bugs.

Hi Ralph,

When I try to compile the example code, it shown a error message. The error is due to the configuration of the Compiler version, may be due to the Output format. Please take a look at Fig 1. If I change the compiler verstion to TI v16.12.0.STS and Output format to eabi(ELF), the example code can be compiled and run, but it response nothing. Do you have any suggestions about this issue? Thank you.

Sorry, I forgot to attached the figures. In addition, I found it stay in a do while loop(Fig.3).

Hello Sunglin,

I don't have the STS compiler option on my CCS, but using CCS V7.2 and the TI v16.9.3 LTS compiler with output format of eabi (ELF) I was able to compile with no issues. Please try that, or if you need help with the STS version then maybe ask the CCS forums what the difference between your STS compiler the the LTS compiler I have (which came default with my CCS install) would be.

Hi Ralph,

The example code can be compiled with no issues, but it stuck in a do .. while loop, which was attached in the previous post, Fig3.

Hello Sunglin,

As long as you can compile and Flash the MCU, that is all that is needed to run the intended demo. After flashing the MCU, simply power cycle the EVM and then you can connect to the GUI from there.

That debug functionality is broken for a newer CCS isn't going to be investigated because as I mentioned above that firmware is not for development but only used to flash the EVM to restore the factory functionality of it.

I would like to learn how to program the TRF7970A and maybe I have to purchase a latest version of TRF7970A development kit. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.
