We use the CC2420 in a number of our design.

Can you please tell me when the CC2420 is going obsolete?

Dear Norman Davidson,

That CC2420 is stated as NRND does not mean it will be obsoleted any time soon. It simply reflects that TI has a newer device, CC2520, which in our opinion is a better choice than CC2420 today. TI's policy on product withdrawal/discontinuance is stated in the TI General Quality Guidelines (http://www.ti.com/lit/ml/szzq076j/szzq076j.pdf), section 20.
