I had this working but not my com ports on the PC look wrong.

I was expecting 3 COM ports and I see 2 with the same name.

I rebuilt the project and down loaded it under CCS V8.

Still get the two COM11's.

Hi John,

That looks to be a quirk on the MSP430 side. Is it Win 10 or Win 7 system? Also is it causing the example to not work? You may need to manually connect to the GUI instead of using Autoconnect but the port for MSP430-USB Example will be what you want to connect to.

Added info after talking to my colleague in MSP430 apps, if the ports are working then the issue is just an association on the Windows side.

Windows 7 is my OS. It is up to date.
Manual mode did work. Thought I had already tried that.
