CC2544: NP0 capacitance is must ?

Dear TI Expert,

My customer is evalating CC2544, they checked below CC2544 reference design and found many NP0 capacitance on different location. Are thest capacitance must NP0 or can be replaced by other category with same accuracy, such as X5R /X7R/ Y5V/ Z5U? Thanks a lot.

Hi,

The capacitors do not have to be NP0 but we recommend to keep the same accuracy. Keep in mind the temperature span you are aiming for that poorer materials have a larger tolerance at high/low temperatures.

We use mostly NP0 due to the capacitance is quite stable across a large temperature span. X5R is mainly used for larger values.
