Hello,

Few questions about the evaluation kit:

  1. What is the size of RF430F5978EVM only PCB?
  2. Can we set the power level to reduce LF detection to ½ meter with the eval kit?
  3. If not using  a Windows PC, can the MRD2EVM and AP434R01 be controlled with an API using, for example, Raspberry PI, etc?

    Hello Mohammad,

    the EVM PCB board without the antenna is 66 x 31mm (antenna PCB is 25 x 31mm).

    To reduce the LF detection to 0.5m this should be possible by changing the size of the antennas. If there is a way to program the sensitivity level, I have to check.

    The communication protocol for the MRD2 is fully described in the MRD2 Users Guide.
    We do not offer an API but the interface is just a COM port und you can control the reader also with an Raspberry PI with own software.
    The MRD2 reader offers two interfaces, a virtual COM port via USB or a serial port with TTL level.

    The AP434R01 uses also a virtual COM port but only the PC demo software is available.
