CC2420: Single-Chip 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.15.4 Compliant and ZigBee™ Ready RF Transceiver

Part Number: CC2420

Assuming antenna gains of 1 and speed of light of 300,000,000 m/sec, calculate the maximum transmission radius for a sensor node with a CC2420 radio transceiver, operating at maximum output power.

Then, How to calculate operating frequency, maximum output power and Sensitivity?

The CC2420 is not included in this tool but find the setting that is closest to what you need.

Why CC2420? If you can choose I would start with a device that is a couple of generations newer.

    - Sensitivity: See datasheet.

    - Operating frequency: Select the wanted channel

    - Max output power: See datasheet and the regulation in the area you plan to deploy your product.
