CC2543: EN300328 V2.2.2 test setup

We are about to certify a product according to EN300328 V2.2.2 based on a transmitter using CC2543 and a receiver based on CC2500 + MCU.

Is there any tools supporting setting up the CC2543 in a mode that fit the receiver blocking test? We can monitor the output of the CC2500 but we are not sure how to configure the transmitting part. It would be great if there was a tool for this.

The CC2543 transmit and CC2500 receives. There data is not acknowledged, it is only one way transmit.

Are you already aware of SMARTRFTM-STUDIO? In what way does it not address your needs?

I will dig into the SMARTRFTM-STUDIO. I do not fully understand the test setup yet and I was curious if there was a pre-determined test setup or a way to configure this tool for this test. This test will be mandatory for all RF systems if I have understood the certification requirements well.

Hi Leif,

This document outlines a procedure for the V2.1.1 standard, which should be a good starting point for your test. I see there are some changes between 2.1.1. and 2.2.2, notably the blocking signal power and packet error rates. But, the overall setup shouldn't be all that different. You can use SMARTRF to broadcast fixed numbers of known packets from one device to another, which is covered in the document.
