CC2652R: Can custom board powered externally is allowed to be used in EnergyTrace and EnrgyTrace++ in CCS?

Part Number: CC2652R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SEGGER, ENERGYTRACE

I have a custom board based on CC2652 powered externally and we use Segger J-link  as a programmer and debugger. We use CCS only as an IDE.

Is use of EnergyTrace or EnergyTrace++ allowed on custom board. Or this only works with TI Launchpad for CC2652? We also have XDS110 debugger so we can use that incase Seeger can not be used for EnergyTrace.

I have just verified that Segger does not have that option in CCS. So, kindly tell us if externally powered device with 3.0V can be used with XDS110 debugger to have EnrgyTrace used?
