CC2571: CC2571 hardware design consulting

Part Number: CC2571

1. Is there a development board for CC2571?

2. Will CC2571 communicate with CPU, when using UART communication only need to reserve RXD/TXD/RST/VCC/GND five pins?

3. Ant + function of CC2571 is adopted. Does the chip come with Ant + protocol? Can be directly used after hardware connection?

4. Can I communicate directly with other Ant + modules when using it?

  • Hello,

    1. There isn't a physical development board that we offer, but we do have a reference design: CC257X EM Discrete Reference Design

    2. Please refer to the ASYNCHRONOUS SERIAL INTERFACE section of the datasheet. The asynchronous serial interface is functionally equivalent to a standard UART with 8 data bits, no parity, and 1 stop bit. Unlike a standard UART, the asynchronous serial interface supports unidirectional flow control only. Using the asynchronous serial interface also requires that the host MCU tightly control the SLEEP state of the CC257x by using the SLEEP and SUSPEND control lines.

3/4. Yes, the CC2571 is fully compatible with ANT and ANT+ Protocols and existing ANT devices: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cc2571.pdf

    Thanks,

    Alexis
