Hello,
Unfortunately my regulatory department is backed up with higher priority projects and it has fallen on me to research RFID regulation.
I am looking into the regulations on 13.56MHz inductively coupled non-specific short range devices. I have found papers stating that the 13.56MHz "HF" band is acceptable worldwide and that it can be used without a license, but I cannot find a list of countries and regulations that support this claim. After some initial research, I have found that the no license clause is only true if the device falls below a certain field strength. So you have to test the device for conformity. I also want to make sure it is not flat out illegal to transmit at 13.56MHz in certain countries.
Below is a list of regulations I have found so far:
United States:
I am using the TRF7960 in a medical device so the FCC 15.103 exempts medical devices from the FCC regulation and the IEC 60601-1 takes over.
European Union:
EN 300 330 -> Short range devices
EN 55011 -> Medical Devices -> IEC 60601-1
Singapore:
IDA TS SRD -> Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore Technical Specifications for Short Range Devices. http://www.leychile.cl/Navegar?idNorma=249068
Chile:
DTO 127 -> Derective 127 of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications. http://www.leychile.cl/Navegar?idNorma=249068
The other countries I need are: Aregentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Columbia, French Polynesia, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
