CC1120-CC1190 BoosterPack module and Sigfox backend

Hello,

I recently got delivered my CC1120-CC1190 BoosterPack module. If I'm right I can connect to the Sigfox backend using this module (of course in combination with eg an MSP-EXP430F5529 launchpad). I already have a Sigfox backend subscription but I need a PAC to register the Sigfox radio on the Sigfox backend.

Where can I get this PAC code?

Hi,

Thanks. I know this WIKI. The problem is to add a Sigfox device to their backend I need probably a PAC code. In the meantime I contacted someone @Sigfox. Hope he can help me with it.

Yes, you need your own device ID, device encryption key, device PAC ID. This information will have to come from Sigfox and not TI.

We have the Sigfox TI boosterpack now more than 3 weeks but we still can't use it! Still no PAC code, ... to register on the Sigfox backend. TI says Sigfox should provide this, Sigfox says TI should provide this and we are in the cold. We paid $$ for something we can't use. To be more concrete: Today we are preparing a POC for a customer and opted for TI dev kits, but we can't wait anymore to proceed and if this "ping-pong-game remains" we are obliged to look for an alterative (other vendor) for doing the POC following first and afterwards the production phase of the project.

I have notified the SIGFOX responsible within TI. Hopefully he will come back to you on how to handle PAC codes.

Hi Guy,

I am interested to find out if you made a progress with the Sigfox TI Boosterpack. I am just about to start a Sigfox project and I am investigating which hardware to purchase. Initial feedback from the Sigfox network carrier here has said that once I have the hardware, I have to forward them on the ID and PAC codes and they will register my device on the sigfox back end.

Did you manage to get the PAC code for your hardware.

Hi, to anyone seeing this, the PAC is included in the TI device, you need to set the TI_SIGFOX_activation_code_FCC.txt along other command line entries to get it. If you get stuck feel free to msg me.
