Hi Team,

Customer is asking the question on the voltage protection on the cc2544 USB pin, in our data sheet it states only -0.3 to 5.5v on Vbus, customer thinking that normally we have diode protection on that pins, so like to know what’s the design spec inside?

    We don't include a diode protection in our reference designs. That said the pins on CC2544 have only default ESD protection, if planned to use in a system where they don't know fully what is connected to the USB extra (ESD) protection should be included.

    Sorry, I don't have a simplified ESD protection diagram for the USB pads available. The datasheet covers the ESD performance on the pins, a diagram will not tell too much about the actual performance.
