CC2650: Receive GFSK in transparent mode

Part Number: CC2650
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1350

According to this thread the cc2650 supports transparent mode to read the raw decoded GFSK bits in a continuous transmission without sync. That sounds like something that would come in handy for me as I have a 40us slot I can use every 400us, so my first slot would have the sync word, my second slot at t+400us would have data and so on for however many times I can before the clock drift becomes too high and I start loosing data.

Can TI provide me with examples or documentation, even under NDA?

Thank you.

  • Giovanni,

I have assigned a team member to look into this, the update I got yesterday is that it works on CC1350, but not on CC2650. We are still trying to figure out if we can find a solution to get it to work on CC2650. Please give us one more day to look at it.

    Regards,
    /TA
  • Hi Giovanni,

I am working on it to see if this is possible at 2.4GHz. This feature might be disabled for that frequency range but I will let you know in a few days.

    thanks.
