CC2511: What happened when the chip will be work out of specification temperature and voltage

Part Number: CC2511
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2510

Hello all,

The operating conditions for CC2511F32 is specified to work between 0°C and +85°C  and between 3.0 V and 3.6 V.

What happened if temperature will be -25°C and / or  the voltage is between 2.0V and 3.0 V ?

Thanks for a reply.

best regards

Kai

  • To simplify some, CC2511 is a CC2510 with USB. SInce CC2510 has a wider temperature and voltage range I would assume that if you use CC2511 in the range you indicate the USB will stop working. But note that a chip should not be used outside the range that is spec'ed for since it's not been tested outside this range and the chip could stop working and/ or be damaged.
  • Please state why my suggested answer was rejected.
  • Thanks for the fast answer, you are right, that a chip must not used outside the specified range.
Do you have experience, if the chip CC2511 works in same range as CC2510 if the USB interface is switched off ?
  • As said: But note that a chip should not be used outside the range that is spec'ed for since it's not been tested outside this range and the chip could stop working and/ or be damaged.
