RF430CL330H: RF430CL330H

Part Number: RF430CL330H
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00721,

Hello All;

I have RF430CL330H (TIDA-00721 tag sensor), I can detect the tag by using external reader but when I tried with phone it doesn't detect at all!

The phone is HTC one M7, I used different apps like NXP TagInfo, NFC TagInfo.. but non of them are working!

I also used other type of NFC that support ISO15693 and get detected by both the reader and the phone, but the RF430CL330H (ISO14443-B) not detected by phone!

could you please advice me what type of apps or phone that works with this NFC chip ( RF430CL330H (ISO14443-B)).

Regards

  • Hello,

    when the tag is detected by an external reader, the tag seems to be ok.
    I assume that due to the small size of the antenna the tag gets not enough power from the phone.

    The apps you tried are ok and should be able to read an ISO14443-B tag.

    I don't have this tag at hand at the moment to check with a phone.
    Can you please do a check with another phone.

    Best regards,
    Helfried
  • Hello Helfried;
    Thank you for your replay,
    Yes, I tried different new mobile (OnePlus 6T) but still cannot detect!
    The apps should be OK, but the embedded hardware NFC in mobile could be possibly not support the ISO14443-B protocol !
    In the document of the tag sensor section 5.3 Reading the Temperature Data
    , page 10, it shows some app with reading, can you please tell what is the Mobile phone that you used and what the app.

    Could you please give any advice or suggestions,
    Regards
  • Hello

    I found a TIDA-0217 now which also works with RF430CL330H and checked it with my phone.
    It is different from the TIDA-0721 but also small size. I had to remove the protective cover from my phone to read the tag.
    The temperature is provides as NDEF message and I tried a few apps and all where able to display this message with the temperature.

    I am using a Galaxy S8 and my favorite app is the "NFC TagInfo" from the Research Lab Hagenberg.

    Best regards,
    Helfried
