RF430FRL152H: RF430FRL152H RAM storage & errata fix

Part Number: RF430FRL152H

Dear TI,

I am struggling with the first errata of the RF430FRL152H (SD14 single channel). I am reading the ADC1 and ADC2 correctly with NFC but when I try to get the sample of just one ADC the values are not consistent, as expected looking at the errata (I have also tried to set some skip values but the result does not change).
So I am trying to store the samples of both the ADC in RAM in order to have more space (using also a battery). I could successfully write some values on the RAM and read them (these value are hard coded on the androi app) in order to test the execution of the custom command 0xC1 and 0xC0. But when I enable the RAM storage for the ADC setting bit 5 of the "Error control register" I am reading rubbish from the RAM.

The "control power" and "setpower" bit are enabled in order to use the battery.

Do you have any suggest?

Is there also any way to fix the errata reading and writing registers from the android app?

Thank you very much
Best regards

  • Hello Paolo,

I just tried to get the ADC samples in the RAM with our demo GUI and I can read the ADC values starting from the address 0x1E00.

If you need this exact mode that is described in the errata sheet then you should used the patch that is proposed as workaround in the errata sheet.

You refer to an android app in your post. Is this the temperature measurement demo or are you using something different?

    Best regards,
