LAUNCHXL-CC1352P: LAUNCHXL-CC1352P2 RTS_SWO - can I use this pin?

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC1352P

I am desparate for digital input pins on the LAUNCHXL-CC1352P2 board.  I'm hijacking the CTS pin for one.  I would also like to use RTS but has a second function called either WMCU_SW0 or WMCU_SWO ... i don't know what that does.  What are the problems with me hijacking this pin as well and using it as one of my digital inputs?  What does this SWO function do?

  • It's up to the user how the DIOs are used. Note that the pin mapping on the Launchpad is done to facilitate booster packs and hence is following a given pinout to be compatible with different booster packs. But you can map SPI, UART etc to whatever pin you like

CTS/ RTS can be used as UART flow control if needed/ wanted. If you don't want to use CTS, RTS you can use the IOs to what you like. The same with SWO, if you don't need to use it for debugging, use the pin as  general DIIO:
