Dear Sir,

I need to interface the RI-SMD-MRD2 from a DSP through a serial interface.

The DSP has to run an algorithm developed on a WIN-PC with mathlab.

It would be great to have the source code of the serial protocol to interface the tag reader.

Hello Franco,

the source code for the MRD2 reader is not available.

To interface the reader with your DSP you have to refer to the protocol description given in the MRD2 Reference Guide:

As you have an executable, you should have a source code.

Even if it is not certified, for us it's a good starting point.As we have to use it on a BARE HW and not on an OS like WIN, we cannot pretend a effortless porting.

If I can't get it, we should write it from scratch and loose precious time.

it's a pity.

Hello Franco,

the executable is a Windows GUI which will not help in any way to port code to microcontroller. The source code for the GUI can not be shared.

We have no software that controls the MRD2 that can be ported to a microcontroller available.

You will see in the protocol description that the so called "Easy Code Mode" protocol is were easy to implement. The Windows GUI will help to see how the protocol works.
