WILINK8-WIFI-NLCP: Is anyway to identify WL1831 vs WL1833 by calibrator command??

Part Number: WILINK8-WIFI-NLCP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1831, WL1833

Hi,

Is there any way to  read a special register (using  calibrator + wl18xx_plt phy_reg_read <addr> ….) to identify the chip capabilities(ex WL1831 and WL1833) or if anything is mounted on the antennas that would enable identify one module vs the other ?

Austin

  • Hi,

I am not sure if there is a register that can be read to determine which module is being used.

WL1833 module supports A band. You can also check from the mounted antennas if the antenna supports 5GHz band.
