CC1125: Low-Power Mode

Part Number: CC1125

Hi Sir,

There is a peak current in chapter 4.9.2Low-Power Mode of datasheet.

customer wanna know is there the average current parameter in this model,

or what do you think of the peak current time?

Thanks.

  • As I read this number, the peak current is when the chip is actually in RX and receiving. If you look at figure 9 in https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/swra428 you see that when the chip is waken up the power consumption is lower while the synth is calibrated etc but is stable after reaching max. Then it will have the peak current until going out of RX. Meaning that if you are in RX for some time the average current will be close to the peak current.

If they want a lower average RX current they need to look into sniff mode as described in the app note I linked to.
