When it comes to RTOS the obvious advantage is that TI RTOS is already in ROM for the CC13xx and CC26xx devices, thus you will save flash compared to a FreeRTOS application.

The article on updates doesn't seem to apply to this chip. It mentions "CC13x2 and CC26x2".
