CC1350: Ambiguous inverted syncword specification for SimpleLink Long Range Packet Format

Part Number: CC1350

Hello, I'm trying to come to terms with the actual bits presented to the modulator in "Mode 2- SimpleLink Long Range Packet Format" as described in https://www.tij.co.jp/jp/lit/an/swra642/swra642.pdf

AFAICT, the figure shows the opposite configuration ((M+1)x normal, 1x inverted) of the sync words than what is described in the text ((M+1)x inverted, 1x normal). Which is correct?

  • Hi Pål Øyvind

You are correct. There is a mismatch between the figure and the text below it. The figure is correct, and the text should be:

The first M times the normal sync word is sent, followed by a single repetition of the inverted sync word. The inverted sync word is 0xCCC3 C3CC C33C 3333.
