CC1120: CE emissions re-certification required if substituting CC1121 with CC1120 in production?

Part Number: CC1120
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1121,

One of my European customers have a product currently designed with CC1121. They are looking at dropping in CC1120 in the same production line (supply constraints?) which should be 100% compatible and work identically from a technical point of view.

But, what about emissions CE certification of their product? Will they need to re-certify or is CC1120 close enough to CC1121 to be considered interchangeable in production from an emissions perspective?

Thanks in advance.
