CC110L / CC1101

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC110L, CC1101

Hello All,

I need your help to understand if we can use the same code on our devices using CC110L or CC1101.

For example if we have one device were we use CC110L and because of shortage of the components we want to use CC1101.

What, if any, consideration should be made for code from CC110L to CC1101.

In the RF Smart Studio we have different options for CC110L and CC1101.

Do we need to recertify (CE/ FCC/ IC/ ACMA....) our devices in the case we want to switch to CC1101 from CC110L?

Thank you!!!!

  • CC110L has a reduced feature set compared to CC1101. But for the features both chips have the performance is very close to equal and the functionality is the same. Meaning that if you have a CC110L on a board today you can replace it with a CC1101 and don't see a difference (as long as you don't check the PARTNUM and VERSION registers.

Certification: You need to check with the test house since it's a board change.

  • Thank you very much for this explanation. It was very helpful.
