LP-CC1312R7: Measure the current draw during operation

Part Number: LP-CC1312R7
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1200, WMBUS, CC1312R7, SEGGER

Hi Team,

Our customer would like to measure the current draw during operation of the wireless LP-CC1312R7 Launchpad. According to our customer,

The supply domain for the wireless mcu according to the schematic is wmcu_vdd but the way the jumper is fitted on P4 , I don't see how the supply will arrive to this supply domain

i.e. how does XDS supply provides a supply to the wireless mcu ..

In addition to this, I have another question regarding the LP-CC1312R7

Is it possible to transmit at more than 14 dBm using the evaluation board LP-CC1312R7 like for example changing the power settings to modify the operation of the DC DC converter or a boost mode? For previous chip we have used (like the CC1200), the maximum conducted power was closer to 15.5-16 dBm at maximum power. I can see spurious on the unmodulated carrier at +/- 370 kHz

i can't see either in the RFstudio how the modulation should be selected. for example for wmbus the modulation is 2fsk .. not 2-gfsk

in the standard the wmbus mode C is not gfsk but 2fsk

conducted gmsk peformance looks really poor compared to competitor solution ..
linkIQ low
(868.03 MHz, 14 dBm, 75 kHz bandwidth, 10kbps, 2.5 kHz deviation, GMSK modulated )

Regards,

Danilo
