CC1310: sniff raw bits of packet, including CRC

Hi,

I would like to sniff raw packets transmitted by CC1310, including the CRC, UW, preamble.

I have two boards of LaunchXL, so one can be configured as TX and the other as RX for sniffing.

can you offer any code/application for this kind of sniffing?

my main goal is to 'reverse engineer' and validate the CRC and FEC (cc1101 compatible..) encoding that the CC1310 does, and my sure I know how to imitate it

The MCE_GPO0 and MCE_GPO1 signals can be output to a pit to see the data going in an out to/from the modem.

The CC1310 CRC and FEC are compliant with CC1101, so it should not be necessary to do any reverse engineering to make the two devices talk to each other.

1. regarding MCE_GPO1, I read itsuffers noise and frequnecy error. but is it after time synch? i.e. I expect to see 4 samples per bit, and the first sample should relate to the first bit of preamble? or is it just raw free-running output of the FM demodulator?

2. what about the SmartRF_Packet_Sniffer2_1.9.0.zip application? does it show the sniffed packets withput CRC, preamble etc.?

The MCE_GPO1 is the binary data signal that comes from the demodulator when receiving and you will see data here as long as the radio is in RX state.

Using the packet sniffer will not give you any raw data. It received packets, like SmartRF Studio, but will have the possibility to decode different protocols.
