LAUNCHXL-CC1352R1: how to properly test rfWakeOnRadioRx example program

Hi,

I have 2 CC1352R1 launchpad. 1 launchpad is programmed with rfWakeOnRadioRx example program. The other one is connected to SmartRF Studio sending packets. At rfWakeOnRadioRx CC1352R1 Launchpad I do not see the green led toggling. How do I properly test the rfWakeOnRadioRx?

Have you sanity checked that it work if you are using the normal rfPacketRx example instead of the WOR example?

It could be that you have a frequency offset (for some reason, it's normally not an issue with two LPs) or different RF settings (datarate, syncword etc) on the RX and TX side.

I am using the Wake On Radio example program. Anyway, I found this post and rfWakeOnRadioRx works with rfWakeOnRadioTx example program. Also, that using SmaRF Studio won't work.

Not sure what the post you linked to has to do with the sniff mode. However, the reason that the sniff mode example does not work with Studio is that is requires a 500 ms preamble. This is only possible to achieve by using the preTrigger of the advanced TX command, and this is not supported in Studio.

Ok, I understand.

Can I set the example program to just sniff and not WOR functionality? I just need it to sniff and read the rssi value. For that I do not need a 500 ms preamble?

If you only want the to read the RSSI you cannot use the sniff command. Than you should use the RF_cmdRxTest command, and use RF_getRssi to get the RSSI value.
