TM4C129ENCZAD: How to open a USB port

Part Number: TM4C129ENCZAD

I made a custom board with TM4C129ENCZAD implemented.
When I connected it to the PC with USB, the port did not appear in the device manager.

I would like to know how to open a USB port.

By the way, I investigated various methods, but I was told that the method of writing the boot loader of XDS110 is not supported.
Also I tried to write them to TM4C129ENCZAD using CCS but it didn't work.

Hello Yousuke,

You would need to load firmware that supports USB onto the device like usb_dev_cdcserial.

An XDS110 is a JTAG debug probe so it uses JTAG to load data onto the TM4C129ENCZAD, not USB.

Now let me ask you a specific question.
I connected the TM4C129ENCZAD to CCS through JTAG
I wrote "boot_loader.axf" for XDS110.
The result is as shown in the attached figure.
It says "CORTEX_M4_0: AutoRun: Target not run as the symbol "main" is not defined".
Does this mean that the program is useless if the target is not running?
Also, is there a program that can be written instead?
Anything that allows me to connect to a PC via USB is fine.

Hello Yousuke,

I cannot help you with that query. Texas Instruments does not support using XDS110 in a custom design as you trying to do. You will have to work out a solution without TI support or buy an XDS110 instead of trying a custom design.
