CC1312R: Can CC1312R support 1Mbps throughput for 359 - 527Mhz band?

Part Number: CC1312R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1311R3, CC1311P3,

Hello TI,

My name is Hannan Mutahir from Vantage Robotics.

I wanted to check if CC1311P3/CC1311R3 for 359-527Mhz band it is possible to set for band with to 1.3MHz to achieve 1Mbps throughput or higher bandwidth to achieve higher throughput (2Mbps)? per spec sheet max is 200kbps

like for 861-054Mhz band per spec we can set to 1.3Mhz to achieve 1mbps tput

Also for CC1312R  359-527Mhz band it is possible to set for band with to 2.2MHz to achieve 1Mbps throughput  as in 861-1054Mhz band?

  • Hi Hannan,

1 Mbps at 359 - 527 MHz should be possible but we have not characterised recommended PHY settings for this data rate so you would need to optimise the PHY settings yourself; below are some resources to aid this.

The recommended approach would be to begin with the 1 Mbps PHY settings at 868 Mhz, changing the frequency to the desired frequency band and then adjust the initial parameters to improve the performance.

For a more comprehensive overview, the App Note SWRA682 (Finding Settings for new PHYs for the CC13xx Family): https://www.ti.com/lit/swra682 details this process.

    Regards,

    Zack
