I have a 434MHZ daughter card that I use on my custom RX and TX boards. In testing with a TRXEB RX board and my custom RX board, I have a TX sending packets from about 3 ft away. Every packet is received every time (in normal mode), but the RSSI is about -16dB at the TRXEB RX board, but -48dB at my custom RX board. The boards are virtually identical, and designed from the TI 434 schematic. But, what are some things to check on the layout that could cause this big difference? Or, is there something else it could be?
