Problem with USB sw on CC1111

Igor, I've tried to attached the driver you referenced but with the same result as I'd already had when installed "usb_cdc_driver_cc1111.inf" from USB_firmware_library. When I try to update driver of my "Unknown device" and select the folder containing the .inf file, Windows gives the message that there is no more appropriate driver at the specified path.

Can it be a hardware problem? But as I mentioned, electrical part is identical to the reference... :-(

Hi Alexey,

Before you jump into hardware problems and your sad smiley becomes

a crying one :) try to install the attached drivers on some other PC (with XP)

and then plug the cc1111 dongle, see if it recognized there.

You may also erase the whole flash on cc1111 with flashProgrammer and

then reprogram the chip again with FW before you plugging it to another computer,

Just to verify that there is no FW issues.

Unfortunately the same result on another PC. On strange reason Windows not even tries to install any driver for the device ("Unknown device" should not have any driver as I understand).

Ok, next step:

In the packet sniffer folder you can find a FW for your device, can you

flush your device with this FW, plug it into PC and see if it works?

FW located at "Packet Sniffer\bin\general\firmware\"

If you have no packet sniffer, you can download it here.

May be it is not a hardware problem after all.

I slightly  modified USB example sw and did one little experiment.

If I comment enabling pullup on D+ the device becomes mute - no any reaction from PC after plugging into USB

You've installed (physically) the Pullup resistor on D+, have you?

One comment for sent files. There are some additional components on the PCB which absent in schematic. It's because this pcb is intended for using with both CC1110 and CC1111. The first one is for End devices and the second for Access point.

Igor, I'm really sorry for spending so much time for me. The matter was very easy - pin 10 of CC1111 was not in fact been soldered to the pad! Visually the connection was existed but it was a "cold" soldering. After I recover the connection everything is work. Anyway great thanks for your help!!!

By the way, can you tell what is total amount of USB stack implementation?

You are welcome, I'm glad it worked out for you. :)

Regarding the "cold soldered" pin, such things happen, actually you are lucky to

catch this one so quickly.

Regarding the USB stack issue, I'm not the right person to ask, as I've no familiarity

with FW for cc1111, however, by judging the .map file of cc2531 with integrated files

for USB, the stack on cc1111 should be less then 4KB, but again, I can only guess.

You probably should start a new thread with this question.
