CC1314R10: 54-25 standard requirements

Part Number: CC1314R10

Tool/software:

Hi TI,

The company I work for developing a fire alarm system (smoke sensors and collector).

Used settings:
Stack 15.4
Mode:Non Beacon

Used HW and software:
HW Collector - custom board with CC1314R10 RGZ
HW Sensor - custom board with CC1310F128
SW Collector - custom, based on collector example in simplelink_cc13xx_sdk
SW Sensor - custom, based on sensor example in simplelink_cc13x0_sdk

We currently need assistance, as the 54-25 standard (specific for fire detection and fire alarm systems) requires:
- Each RF linked component to be identified by an individual identification code.
- RF linked components connected to one system cannot be accepted by another system.
- Our company need to provide the necessary documentation for the assessment of this requirement.
- The probability that the RF linked component is identified and accepted as belonging to another system from the same system manufacturer unintended to receive shall be less than 1:1 000 000.

We know that in the examples, the system (sensor - collector) internally works with short addresses and in some cases use the extended address (IEEE 802.15.4).
Can you help us with information or documents that we can use to prove to the certification organization that the requirements of the standard are met?

  • Hi Veselin,

regarding software documentation we have generally the software product brief and the User's Guide.

But the points that you refer to depend as well on the application that is set on top of our software stack.

Could you explain in more detail what kind of documentation is required or if you need to perform a certain test so that I can understand better how we can assist you?

    Kind regards,
    Theo
