I am new to SimplicTi so forgive me if this questin has appeared before.
I am trynin the peer-to-peer example app on my CC1110 and CC1111 Development Kit and It works but I don't understand why.
Where do the Radio parameters come from?
I have half answered this question by single by single steping through the code. Some register parameters are in the file smartrf/CC1110/smartrf_CC1110.h.
But why did they work? I happen to have plugged the 800Mhz boads into the system but what if it had been the 400Mhz boards would they have worked and if so why.
I am particulary concerned now that I have looked in the smartrf/CC1110/ directory because there apppers to be a 433 Mhz vesion of smartrf_CC1110.h but nowhere that i've seen in the documentaion does it say that I need to use a different set of registers for each type of board.
NOTE to TI if you're reading this
I spent a lot of money on your development kit $640 and your documentation is very poor and full of holes. I wouldn't take much to fix the problem.
There is a very good explanation of how to compile and run the eaxples. There is a very good explanation of how to export the register settings from RfStudio but ther is NO explanation on how change the settings in the examples, it just happens by magic, but is after all one of the most important aspects of the whole thing.
This system is complicated enogugh and very easy to make a mistake so it doesn't work. I need to change the radio settings but I don't want to break things.
So come TI one extra page in the user guide with an example is easy for you but a lot of work for me to research, which is why I paid a lot of mony for a WORKING kit in the first place
