SimpliciTI with CC1000

After reading some threads, I noticed that simpliciTI is a two-way protocol, so support to transmitter such as CC1050, CC1150 is currently not available. Is that right?

I am wondering if CC1000 transceiver is supported for simpliciTI protocol. 

I am working on a project and thinking about using simpliciTI to set up a sensor network. The problem is that it is not so easy to solder a QFN chip on a board. The only SOP transceiver I found is CC1000. I couldnt find anything online about simpliciTI on CC1000.

    Hello Shuozhi,

    Unfortunately SimpliciTI is not supported on the CC1000.   I would strongly recommend considering finding an option to mount the CC1101 as it is a much newer and better Radio.  

    As SimpliciTI is available in full source, technically you could also try to use it as a guide for CC1000 code.

    Thank you very much! I may think about using CC1101.

    Just for my interest. So you mean it's possible to modify the SimpliciTI low level code to fit CC1000 such that I can run the modified SimpliciTI on CC1000 to communicate with other SimpliciTI-supported chips, eg. CC430FXXX . Is it right?

    Hello Shuozhi,

    First of all,  it would be more of using Simpliciti as a guide.  The part with the radio you would be responsible for yourself.    However, if it is a task you can manage, you should be able to communicate with the other radios if you pay attention to match the settings as best you can.

    I still very very strongly recommend the CC1101 instead.
