Hello Champs,
One of our customers requested the following functionality for JTAG interface on CC13xx(CC26xx)
If we lock JTAG access to the chip, it doesn't allow the device to be connected over JTAG, so neither write or read functions work.
But in production for SW upgrade it is often necessary to use JTAG to write new SW to the device and if the JTAG is locked with CCFG register, the customer cannot reprogram the device with JTAG. Of course, they can use backdoor functionality to upgrade, but the customer has to build their customer HW to implement this and it is not convenient as the customer tends to use standard tools for programming the devices and tries not to use custom HW.
So would be great if we can have JTAG lock feature that allows writes to flash (and use standard JTAG tools) + prohibits reads from flash memory protecting the customer's SW IP.
Please comment whether this functionality can be implemented on CC13xx or CC26xx.
BR,
Ilya
