Hi,

I am newbie to CC1310. I have downloaded and installed TI-RTOS and downloaded the UART echo example from Resource Explorer too but nothing is transmitted from the UART port of the MCU.

The hardware is based on launchpad reference board but no success at all.

Please help me.

Hello Nitin,
The example echoes the UART input. Can you try using a serial terminal program like teraterm or coolterm and have correct baudrate. Start typing in something and you should see those characters printed on the terminal.

Thanks alot for your prompt response. Actually my hardware is custom hardware but built taking reference of launchpad. As I am newbie to CC1310 so cant start the things properly. Can you guide me. If reqd then I can share the schematic to you.

Do you use CC1310 7x7 package? Which pins do you use as UART pins? Can you take a picture to show me your HW connection?

Is it 7x7 or 5x5 package? Which pins do you connect as UART TX/RX?

I dont know about 7x7 or 5x5 ? Currently using DIO2 and DIO3 for UART Tx/Rx

It should be DIO3 is TX and DIO2 is RX. How do you check if there is UART output from TX?

I have connected TTL-RS232 converter and then PC serial port. Dont have oscilloscope to check whether something is transmitted from the MCU serial port or not. Can you give me some sample code or compiled file using which I can test the serial port ?

If you run UART echo example for LAUNCHXL-CC1310, it would output messages to UART TX pin.

I would suggest you to find a scope and check TX pin first.

yes level is low on Tx pin

The hex file I attached works on my LAUNCHXL-CC1310 so I suggest you to check if you connect to correct UART TX pin.

I think it's HW problem so I can only suggest you to check your HW first.

I suggest you to refer to pin interrupt example at dev.ti.com/.../ and revise it to do what you want.

Nitin,

Have you tried to connect SmartRF Studio to your board? Using SmartRF Studio you can also control the state of all the IO's one by one. This will help you in the debug and bring up or your boards.

Try do the following step to set GPO in an empty project.

1. Add "#define Board_GPO_13 CC1310_LAUNCHXL_GPIO_13" in Board.h

2. Add "CC1310_LAUNCHXL_GPIO_13," into enum CC1310_LAUNCHXL_GPIOName in CC1310_LAUNCHXL.h

You try to use DIO 13 and 14 in your code so I just make a simple tutorial to show you how to do it.

Cortex_M3_0: File Loader: Verification failed: Values at address 0x0001FFA8 do not match Please verify target memory and memory map.

Why this error ? Earlier I was trying Flash Programmer2 but not using CCS

Try to create a new empty project and replace Board.h, CC1310_LAUNCHXL.h, CC1310_LAUNCHXL.c, and empty.c with my attachments.

Everything is commented out in your while loop so I see no reason why GPIO 13 would be toggled.
