CC110L: From CC115L to CC110L migration - Certification Question

Part Number: CC110L
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC115L

Hello Team,

Customer would like to have bi-directional capability in their system which uses CC115L. We are suggesting CC110L to replace the CC115L on their board.

Given that the pin compatible CC110L and CC115L use the same RF front-end and share the same schematic/layout, can they use the same Certification of their current product if they just replace the CC115L by CC110L?

If not, can they save some cost on test and certification? How?

Best regards,

Mizanur

  • When it comes to certification customers always have to check with the certification lab they use what they need to do. They always have the final word.

In this case I believe that they have to do a new certification.
    - They want to change the radio to a different radio.
    - The have had a transmit only system changing to a RX/ TX system. If a system is possible to set in RX they have to check the spurious emission when in RX which I assume they haven't done with their current TX system.
