Starterware/CC1350STK: How to decide the value of RX_START_MARGIN?

Part Number: CC1350STK

Tool/software: Starterware

Hi, I am doing a project based on RFpropTX/RXsync, I have a question regarding to the macro RX_START_MARGIN, how do I decide this value, or should I just use the default 500?

One more question, for syncOffsetTime, how should I utilize it?

Thank you  in advance

  • Hello Jason,
RX_START_MARGIN is used to compensate for any timing errors due to crystal drifts. The value of 500 is an arbitrary value. If you know the maximum possible crystal drift you can compute a more optimal value to use.

syncOffsetTime is the measured synchronization offset/error. This value should be less than RX_START_MARGIN. If it is not then you need to increase the value of RX_START_MARGIN.

    Regards,
