Is there any effect in functionality with Perl scripts for module that is FCC approved compared to those who did not FCC approved ?

  • Could you re-phrase the question? Which perl script are you referring to? What does it do?
  • We are using dal_receive.pl  , "This script emulates the Packet RX function in SmartRF Studio" which is configuring the TRXEB module for specific frequency and counting the amount of received packets.

    This script is using CC1120.pl Register settings

  • A FCC (or ETSI for that matter) approval is for a given combination of hardware and software.

    An example: To be allowed to send more than ~ -1 dBm according to FCC either frequency hopping or wide band modulation has to be used. This has to be set in software. So by setting your software not to do any of the above and use a output power larger than -1 dBm you are not compliant. But if you send with - 1 dBm you are.
