CC1310: CC1310F128RHBR QFN32P

Part Number: CC1310

I failed to read RSSI value of RF of my system, by SMARTRF Studio 7, using CC1310F128RHBR QFN32P. Which was connected to CC1310 LaunchPad by TNSC & TCKC signals.

However, it works good with  LaunchPad onboard CC1310!

What did I do wrong? Or missing any signal connection?

Thanks!

  • It's not clear from your post if you actually manage to connect to your board at all. In other words, does CC1310 pop up in the connected device list in SmartRF Studio using your board?

Have you also connected ground or do you only use the 2 signals listed?
  • Dear Mr. TER,
    1. Connect my system to CC1310 LaunchPad thru 3V3/GND/TCKCTMS signals , and successfully programmed and target IO configured.
    2. My system, when enable Tx or Rx, the "RX/TX" signal, can be probed. (means under SmartRF studio's command)
    3. After that, my system seemed out of control!
    4. I looked the CC1310 failed, can't be commanded, after any Tx or Rx!
    Thanks for any feed back!!
  • So if I understand you correctly:
You use SmartRF studio to set CC1310 in TX and/ or RX. But exactly when do you "loose control"?

Could you be more specific what you mean by "seemed out of control"? What did you do just before this?
  • 1. Yes, I used SmartRF studio to set CC1310 in TX and/ or RX.
    2. After I start the Rx/Tx, I can't stop the activity. Sometime, the control panel show "No Response".
    3. When enabled Packet Tx, the "sent packets" always stayed "0".
    4. Of course, When enabled Packet Rx, NOTHING received.
    Thanks for you prompt response!!
  • If I'm not mistaken, if you search other posts on E2E, I think you will find that the reset signal is also required on the jtag interface. Have you done exactly the same on the CC1310 LP, removed the jumpers for all signals you are not using?
  • 1. I was asked to debug this someone's design. It looked design was OK, for, as I mentioned, the IO worked OK. Except RF not functioned.
    2. I did the same to the Launchpad system, with the "RESET" jumper removed. So, I thought the "RESET" is not necessary.
    3. I'll try adding the "RESET" signal.
    4. By the way, I just found the "DCDCSW" inductor was put "6.8nH", not "6.8uH" as the referenced design. I'm purchasing the exact parts and try it again.
    Thanks!
