CC1312R: How to use External Flash?

From a previous forum posting, I understand that the CC1310 is unable to execute code from external flash.

Please confirm if the CC1312 has the same limitation or not and the technical reasons why.

We would like to run Contiki but can move to an alternative OS if required.

CC1312 has the same limitation but CC1312 has much more flash available than CC1310. Do you have any specific reason to execute code from external flash?

Thanks for the quick reply.

We have run into severe space limitations on the CC1310 and as a result have had to greatly reduce the radio stack we are using.
We would like to run the full 802.15.4 stack, as well as some modem protocols (AT commands) and small application code.
We will likely be able to fit it all in the extra flash provided by the CC1312 but wanted to know if external flash was an option as well.

Is there a target timeline for production of the CC1312 (ie Q4 2018 or Q1 2019)

As I know, it's scheduled to production of CC1312R on Q1 2019.
