CCS/CC1312R: ZIGBEE example for CC1312R?

Dear All,

At first, I started a ZigBee project with cc2652r, but it's range is not enough, so I searched TI homepage and found that cc1312r supports ZigBee.

I already bought the cc1312r launchpad and cc1312r chipsets. And tried to start a new project for cc1312r and Zigbee, but I can't find any example project in "simplelink_cc13x2_sdk_2_30_00_45" and "simplelink_zigbee_sdk_plugin_2_20_00_06".

Which example project should I select for cc1312r to implement the ZigBee project?

And Which 'TI explorer ' do I have to use?

CC1312R is a sub GHz SOC and cannot support Zigbee stack. If you would like to improve RF range of CC2652R, you should use CC1352P which is embedded PA and can operate on both 2.4G Hz(for Zigbee and BLE) and sub GHz wireless application. You can find Zigbee examples for CC1352P at

Doesn't it mean that the cc1312r support ZigBee?

Sean, please check the zigbee spec's. To my knowledge it's very limited support for zigbee from a standard standpoint. The wording is also "target" which mean that the device should be able to run the standard mentioned, it does not say that we have software examples for all the standards.

TER brings up a good point, although Zigbee Specification allows for a Sub-1 GHz solution it is not currently supported in TI's Z-Stack implementation as a part of the SimpleLink SDKs.
