CC1200: Use of CCxxx Wireless MCU to modulate bi-directional data bus transactions onto a single coax cable (with similar transceiver on other end).

Part Number: CC1200

I have a two-way data stream that needs to go a medium-length between two devices at each end of a single coax wire, and seek to use one of TI's wireless MCU devices to achieve this goal.  Ideally, I'd like the "wireless" wired link to have a data rate that is similar to the data stream bitrate (~1Mbps) -- or even better, > twice that rate so that the channel can do half-duplex two-way transactions without collisions.

There needs to be some specialized processing of the data stream at the point of departure, so I'd like to stick with "smart" version of the CCxxxx product line; that is, devices that have a separately-programmable processor in conjunction with the radio transceiver.  The processing is not difficult, so the CPU does not need to be a powerhouse -- but it does have hard real-time constraints on how responsive it needs to be when there a message to be transmitted.  It has to go or it becomes junk quickly.  I simply don't know how to decide which TI device makes the most sense for this task -- or if, indeed, the CCxxxx line is the appropriate choice of family at all.
