CCS/CC1125DK: Significance of PHASE_ADJUST Register

Part Number: CC1125DK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1125

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I am currently working on CC1125 transceivers to generate a signal with three frequencies. I am working at Fc = 902.75MHz. Whenever I change the frequency within a single signal, I get a sudden abrupt phase change. The screenshot of the received signal's real part at the point of frequency switch is attached as well. I want the signal to transition into new frequency with continuously smooth phase change. I was exploring different registers and found PHASE_ADJUST. I was wondering what control this register has to offer and could this help me in this regard. If this is not a solution then what other possible solutions might be?

Thank you,

Regards,

Muhammad Osama Shahid.
