CC1200EMK-420-470: stops receiving when ambient temp is above 40 degrees Celsius

Can you put the device in TX mode and see where the frequency is centered at 40C. Perhaps its temperature related drift from the xtal.

When do you issue a SCAL or do you have autocal on? Normally you should be able to increase the temperature with at least 20 -30 degrees from the temperature where you first did a calibration without having issues. 

I rely on autocal when the system goes from idle to RX.

I have changed the device to TX and other devices still received the signal. I also used a spectrum analyzer to record if any changes happens in the center frequency. my setting for the central freq is 432.682953 MHz

The first pic is the center freq. at normal temp ( 23 C)

The other one is at (60 c)

This does not look like a normal spectrum. Have you tried to use SmartRF Studio via a CC Debugger to control the chip?
