exchange between ez430RF and CC2520DK

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2500, CC2520, CC2420, CC2533, CC2530, CC2531, CC2431, CC2430, CC2510, CC2400

Hi everybody,

I just want to know if there is anyway to exchange between the 2 above mentionned devices, and if yes, how ? I assume the default values of the channel are different, but as the registers seem not to be the same (in SmartRF Studio), I have met trouble while trying to find the same configuration for both devices. At least, do you think it's possible to sniff the packet sent by the ez430RF with the SmartRF05EB ?

Many thanks in advance for your tips !

Best Regards,

T. Alary

  • If you have a CC2520DK and an eZ430-RF2500 kit, you will not be able to make the radios (CC2520 and CC2500) from the different kits to communicate. They do not support the same types of RF modulation.

    A CC2520 can communicate with another CC2520 and/or CC253x (CC2530, CC2531 and CC2533 (and the legacy CC2420, CC2430 and CC2431)).

A CC2500 can communicate with another CC2500 and/or CC2510 (and the legacy CC2400 for some settings).
