CC-ANTENNA-DK2: HFSS simulates Board#11, not showing Multi-Band (868MHz/2.4GHz)

Hi TI experts,

I did a simulation of Board#11 using HFSS (according to the DXF found from https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/bluetooth/f/bluetooth-forum/630896/cc-antenna-dk-rd-2-4-ghz-pcb-antenna-design-files), but S11 shows only 2.4GHz but poor at 868MHz. Can anyone kindly help to check where is the problem please? (the HFSS file: DK2.aedt)

Hi,

Agree that your simulations are correct that this should have a natural resonance at just 2.4 GHz.

If this antenna needs to work at both 868 MHz and 2.4 GHz, then this is done with the antenna matching network. With no antenna match, then there is just one natural resonance at 2.4 GHz.
