CC1310: Recognizing Halt In Boot (HIB)

Is there any way to confirm that a device is currently not booting due to the Halt-In-Boot flag was set before previous boot?

Alternatively, is there any way to, during runtime, check if the HIB flag has been set? I cannot find any register for this in the TRM.

Hi Andreas,

You can confirm that the device is in HIB by connecting to running target (Attach to Running Target) and read out the program counter. If the program counter is 0x10003A12 or 0x10003A16 you are in HIB on CC1310.

Thanks a lot.

I realized it might be even more useful to check this during runtime before the reboot occurs - is the HIB flag available in a register?

Hi Andreas,

You can get a HIB_Next flag by doing the following:

bool HIB_Next = ((HWREG( AON_SYSCTL_BASE + 0xC) & 0x400) >> 10);
